Buy Ottoch

Make an offer to own the product: the code, the website and license service, and the brand.

Looking to use Ottoch in your company? That is a license, not a purchase of the product: see pricing.

What Ottoch is

Ottoch is a self-hosted application that lets people ask their database questions in plain English. It writes a read-only SQL query, runs it on the customer's own server, and shows the answer, using the customer's own AI key. It is a finished Django product with a Community edition (MIT licence) and a paid Enterprise edition, a public website with a live demo, and a license-issuing service.

Ask in plain English
Follow-up questions, answers as tables and charts, and PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, SQL Server, ClickHouse, SAP HANA and more.
Safe by design
SELECT-only checks, a read-only database connection, and a guard that blocks write requests.
Built for companies
Hash-chained audit log, LDAP and SSO with roles from groups, teams, business glossary, and hiding of personal data.
Ready to ship
Docker images, a license system with signed keys, plans and limits, four interface languages, and hundreds of automated tests.

What a sale covers

The final list is set in the written agreement.

✓ Source code of the Enterprise edition (proprietary) and of the Community edition
✓ The website, live demo and license-issuing service, with their data model and tooling
✓ The license-signing keys, so the buyer can issue licenses
✓ The Docker image build and release set-up, including the registry configuration
✓ The brand: the Ottoch name, logo and domain, plus documentation, sales material and the demo video
✓ A handover period, if you want one, agreed up front

What you should know first

Early stage. Ottoch has no established customer base and no recurring revenue to transfer. You would be buying a finished product and its code, not an income stream.

The Community edition stays open. It is published under the MIT licence, and copies that already exist stay available under that licence. A sale cannot make the Community edition exclusive; it transfers ownership of the project, the Enterprise edition and the brand.

10% goes to charity. 10% of the sale price goes to a charity chosen by us.

An offer here is not a contract. Nothing is sold until both sides sign a written agreement.
